Therapy

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it is completely normal to feel hesitant or unsure. Many people reach out when they are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or alone, often after spending a long time trying to work things out on their own.

My approach is warm, down-to-earth, and grounded. I offer a space where you can be yourself, talk about whatever is on your mind, and explore what you are going through, whether that is the effects of trauma, racing or negative thoughts, low mood, loneliness, or something else entirely.

Ultimately, the purpose of therapy is to help people bring about meaningful change, and my role is to support you through that process. I work relationally and creatively using a person-centred approach, which means I put you at the centre of our work together, focusing on what matters most to you. I firmly believe that nobody knows your life and experiences better than you do, even if things feel completely unclear right now. Without analysing you or telling you what to do, we work together to explore whatever is causing concern, at a pace that feels right for you.

This approach can help you better understand yourself and recognise patterns, feelings, and experiences that may have previously been out of awareness. Over time, this can improve your relationship with yourself and with others. My aim is to walk alongside you as you develop greater self-compassion, self-acceptance, and a deeper understanding of yourself.

Sessions

Most people speak with more than one therapist before deciding who to work with. To make this easier, I offer a free 30-minute introductory session, giving you the opportunity to see whether working together feels right for you.

Further sessions can be booked individually, or you can take advantage of a discounted rate by booking a block of four or six sessions.

As is standard, individual therapy sessions are 50 minutes long and usually take place weekly. Couples sessions last 60 minutes.
